I apologise for the delay in posting this last installment of the Lakme India Fashion Week...but it really was unavoidable. With a promise of being more regular and prompt lets get going :)
The Day 5 collections I loved were:
1. Prashant Chauhan: A NIFT graduate who specialised in knitwear...he clearly has diversified.
2. SS Surya: His was my favourite collection..pure..clean..white but so much detail.
3.Nupur Kanoi: An Alumni from NIFT, started her career as a stylist and fashion writer, following which she launched her womens'wear label 'Nupur Kanoi' in Kolkata in 2006. Retails out of Ogaan.
4.Archana Kochhar: Surprisingly she does not hold a degree in fashion and is an MBA. She started with one exhibition, which led to this huge and successful design brand. I loved her prints.
The finale was spectacular thanks to the reigning queen of bollywood Kareena Kapoor walking down the ramp wearing designers Pankaj and Nidhi and Kallol Datta.
