Sometimes the seemingly meaningless detours in life lead to the most enriching experiences. Thats exactly what happened when a work trip to Mumbai led to Samyukta and I crossing paths. The work fizzled but the friendship blossomed.
A few warm meetings, a few passionate discussions, loads of giggles and a few excited squeals later we were ready to take our friendship to the next level. (no we are not getting our kids married, Bollywood style..hehe).
It led to the birth of our project 'A La Mode - The digital magazine'.
A La Mode is about our passion and our dream - it is about trying to make every woman feel empowered and confident with her self - it is about helping every woman look good and feel fab.
A La Mode is our attempt at demystifying fashion and simplifying makeup and beauty.
In the first issue, you will find, fashion week trend we want to try and fashion week looks broken down. You will find products that we have tried and now want you to try.
We also try and make fashion recyclable and economical by showing you 5 ways of wearing 1 dress.
And to top it all there is a fascinating interview with a Lakme Fashion Week designer- Sneha Arora, where she talks about her incidental entry into fashion, the journey to Lakme Fashion Week and her well thought out detailed collections...
