Anarkali Suits Have Taken Over The Indian Wedding

Anarkali Suits Have Taken Over The Indian Wedding

Do you guys remember Meeti? You saw her HERE rocking the neon trend. This time around she is playing the desi damsel in a gorgeous anarkali suit.

Her sister who you have also seen on the blog HERE, got married a few months back and this is one of my favourite outfits that Meeti wore for the big fat Indian wedding. We recreated her sister of the bride look for you guys, and had a lot of fun doing so.

Recently, the trend of wearing overflowing overwhelming anarkali suits seems to have taken over the Indian wedding scene. I am not complaining though, the sheer volume of the fabric, the riot of colours and the shimmer of light dancing off the gold thread and sequence, all work in tandem to create magic. And magic is what makes an Indian wedding an Indian wedding.
So coming back to this anarkali suit, it has volume, it has length, it has colour, it has the quintessential Indian hand work and i love it.
You can tell from the pictures, that we tried to play around not just with the outfit but also the makeup, hehe....I have been very inspired by Samyukta and our LAST POST.
This eye-shadow took Meeti and me a lot of attempts to perfect and some of the previous attempts were just far from pretty. Yes, making pretty girls look bad with my makeup seems to be one of my specialties....hehe..
I have written this because I am really hoping that some of you will comment below and tell me nice things like "no the makeup is great...you are awesome" hehe just kidding...but do comment none the less..lots of love
